I'm sorry I have no pictures right now.
They're still not uploaded from Nathan's phone.
I'm going to have to make this quick, because Lillian is starting to lick her chops in her sleep.
Lillian Margaret Miller was born May 17, 2010 at 4:14 PM. She was 8 lbs and 12 oz and a bit over 21 inches long, I think. She was considerably larger than Eleanor (6 lbs and 7 oz) but the labor was SO much easier. I had an epidural for both, but I think the fact that it was the second baby, and the MUCH more helpful nursing staff for Lillian had a lot to do with it.
Eleanor has loved her to pieces from the first time she saw her, but was having a hard time adjusting to how much mine and Nathan's time is monopolized. She had trouble going to bed, her temper was on a hair trigger and she was getting her feelings hurt at the drop of a hat. For the last week though, she's been going to bed with little to no trouble and has been a wonderful helper most of the time, and is just in a better mood in general. She's still a little on the sensitive side, but, you can't really blame her. She's such a trooper.
Lillian at this point can be described as most 4 week olds. She's small, eats all day, sleeps all day, and has little use for toys. She does smile more than you'd expect, and she seems very alert when she is awake and looking around. She looks a lot like Eleanor did at her age, or perhaps slightly older, but she's got a face that's all her own, too. She was born at 41 weeks, and she really does seem older than Eleanor did at this age. Perhaps more than just a week.
She gave me more time than I thought. Anyway, she's mine and I love her, and having her around makes me feel like I have a complete family now, and I'm winning at life. The pictures are coming, I promise.
