Man, oh man.

Today I was walking around the house to get the mail. On my little trek I noticed a sharp pain in my foot. It felt like a thorn had magically appeard in my shoe and I was stepping on it with each stride. So I just walked a little funny until I got inside. I sat down and removed my shoe and sock to get at the sharp thing in my shoe, but when my foot was bare, I was greeted with a bit of a surprise. It wasn't a thorn, or a bug, or a rock, or a stick, or glass. Guess what it was... Nope, not that either. It was one of my hairs! One of my hairs was in my sock, not surprising. But this hair had burrowed into the bottom of my slightly calloused foot and was sticking out like it had grown there! (It hadn't grown there, for those of you snickering at my hairy soles.) It was just so wierd I almost left it for Nathan to see when he got home. Sorry Nathan, it had to go. So now my hair is SERIOUSLY running out of places to find itself. Yeah.

How stiff is your hair to be able to get stuck in a foot callous? Maybe it just happened to poke at the magically perfect angle to make that happen but I can't imagine a hair getting through some of the callouses I have on my feet. Interesting stuff there Bridget.

ok, seriously not to be gross but i worked in a general surgeons office and here's what i know! when washing your hair in the shower make sure you rinse really well because, (here's the gross part if you want to look away)if a hair gets lodged in the top of your butt crack it will embed itself and a infection will occur. i have see it numerous times (mostly on men) but anyway, same principal as your hair on your foot. thats my story!sorry we just met and i have that comment to make. :)
