It's been a while, so I thought I'd say hey. Hey.

Ellie is turning 6 months old on Friday. It's really weird. After Friday, she will be closer to her first birthday than to her birth date. She sits up on her own and she's not crawling yet, but she's working on figuring that out. We've started her on rice cereal and she LOVES it. She watches us so intently when we eat. I can't wait until we can share our food with her. Today's my Mom's birthday, so Ellie and I wrote her an email.




I hope she liked it.

Work has been crazy. One coworker is retiring Friday, one left at the end of January, and then the boss is retiring in May. I know May is a ways away, but it's still scary because whoever replaces her is going to have a hell of a time cutting through all the office politics. We have so many favorites vs. red-headed-stepchildren, and then sadly, black vs. white issues that I don't envy the new boss one bit.
