Happy #*@%ing Holidays!

Well, the holidays are officially here. My great aunt Mary died today. I guess she was trying to beat the traditional Christmas rush. I think she was eighty-eight years old, and I know her mind ws starting to go. She was usuially surrounded by loved ones, and had one with her at the time of her death. It was almost instant and totally unexpected. I think I'll try to go that way. I'd write more, but I have to go get ingredients for pies. I love you Aunt Mary. Happy Thanksgiving.

I love ya, sweetie. And I know it's truly rough at a time like this. Keep your head up, remember the warmth of the season, and remember we're here for you if you need us.

It's official!

Nathan and I signed the lease on the place we went to look at yesterday. It's the back half of a duplex. It's kind of small, but not too small for a married couple. There are some minor layout issues involving the bathroom. But that won't be too much of a bother. We're gonna have a guest bedroom and we're getting new carpet in the living room. I'm so excited! I've been trying to arrange all the furniture in my head. The guest bedroom will double as kind of a place to put things that don't have other homes, like a sewing table! Maybe the computer too, though I'm not sure. We'll see. I can't wait to get all of my stuff in there. I can't wait to decorate for Christmas!! I wonder where we'll put the tree!

I'll try to keep people updated in case people want to help us move in December. Or Just so y'all can see our new place! (:

Um, hi!

Wow, I haven't posted in a really long time. I feel like I should, but I'm not sure what about. My job is going well, I don't have to ask near as many questions anymore and I'm almost efficient at what I do, which is mostly renewing people's medicaid accounts. I eat out everyday with the coworkers, and that's kind of expensive, so I need to cut back on that.

Nathan got rear ended in the car a few weeks ago. He's fine, and the car is mostly fine. The right rear quarter panel is nasty and we can't open the trunk anymore. Also, the right tail light hangs like a eyeball out of a socket. The insurance people came and looked at it today. It, of course, is totaled. So we are gonna get a fat check which we will unfortunately have to spend some of to repair the car a bit. The eyeball thing is kinda gross. Oh, we just put new tires on the car. They are So great! The road feels way different and we don't slide around anymore, rain or shine! So that's the car.

December is coming, and that means we're moving soon. Nathan and I had a talk about how much we want to move. I want to move and he wants me to be happy, so to that end he wants to move. For some reason it upset me that he didn't want to move for himself so much, but after our talk I don't feel as bad about it. Although, the closer the move is, the more apprehensive I am. I just get myself all confused sometimes. I really want our own place, but I will miss Kent and Chanel. Having roommates is cheaper, and your friends are right there. But I want my own space, and I want Nathan and I to be independant, and I want all of my wedding presents out of storage.

So that's how things have been. Oh, and I have health insurance. (:

When you guys have your own place, it will be easier for the four of us to do grown-up couple things together, though.

Health insurance is good, and something I still aspire too :( I'll just have to be extra careful!

I think you'll really enjoy having a place of your own :) It was nice having Adam live with us (especially splitting rent three ways) but I don't think I could go back to living with a roommate.
